All children are eligible for 15 hours government funding from the school term after they turn 3 - this will be stretched over 51 weeks and will be 11.17 hours a week (we round this up to 12 hours per week for simplicity and absorb the cost). You may also be eligible to receive additional funding referred to as 30 hour funding, we stretch this over the year to 22.34 hours per week (we round this up to 23 hours per week). We try to be as flexible as possible with the funding and allow you to take any sessions you require subject to our normal fees and we spread the funding evenly over the days you attend. If you are eligible for the full 30 hour funding and attend at least 23 hours per week you will save over £7000 per year. The funding has been extended to apply to children the school term after they are 9 months old if parents are working. Government funding is intended to deliver 15 or 30 hours a week of high quality, flexible childcare. It is not intended to cover the costs of meals, other consumables, additional hours or additional activities, however, while there are no mandatory charges attached to the funded hours, we kindly ask families to pay a voluntary consumables contribution. For those unable to pay or wishing to opt out of these charges, our alternatives policy can be discussed with nursery management. See tables above for fees payable for our more popular sessions. Funding can also be claimed for those children attending our term time only sessions. You are able to claim the full 15 hours per week and if you are eligible for 30 hours funding you can claim as many hours as you attend up to 30 hours per week. We use a system called funding loop to process government funding claims electronically without the hassle of having to fill in paper forms each term. Some 2 yr old children are eligible for 15 free hours of government funding the school term after they turn 2. We accept this funding and have a limited number of spaces available at no charge for those eligible.
